Never opened: the factory seals of the box are intact.
A sealed set is one whose box has never been opened since it left the factory. On BrickDb the seal state tells Factory sealed apart from Factory sealed, damaged box and from resealed. Sealed is also a condition grade, reached only by a factory-sealed, never-built, complete copy with a mint box.
