How books, magazines and merchandise work

Features

LEGO® books, magazines and merchandise, catalogued like sets

LEGO books by edition, magazine issues by country and number, and merchandise by size and colour – each with its prices and a place in your collection.

The catalogue holds more than sets. Books are on the catalogue's Books tab, and a book edition has a page of its own per ISBN-13, with the publisher, the language and what came with it. Magazines are listed issue by issue, by title, the country they were sold in and their number, with every shop page BrickDb has read for an issue. Merchandise – clothing, bags, watches, homeware, stationery, key chains and more – is listed item by item, with every size and colour and the best current shop price for each. Signed in, you can record your own copies of books and magazine issues with their condition and the polybag or figure that came with them, and add a piece of merchandise the catalogue is missing.

Which LEGO books and magazines are in the BrickDb catalogue?

Books are on the catalogue's Books tab, and a book edition has a page per ISBN-13 with its title, publisher, language and what came with it, such as a minifigure. Magazines are listed per issue – by title, the country it was sold in and its number – and an issue's page shows every shop page BrickDb has read for it, each price with its currency, its tax basis and the date it was read. In your collection, a book or magazine copy has a grade from "As new" to "Poor" and says whether its polybag or figure is still with it.

Can I add LEGO merchandise that is missing from the catalogue?

Yes. Signed in, you can add a piece of LEGO merchandise the catalogue does not hold yet, with its name, kind, colour, size and, if you like, a photo. It goes into your collection straight away, marked as awaiting review; only you see it until a moderator has approved it, and then everyone does. Before you add it, BrickDb shows what it already holds that looks similar, so the same item is not added twice.

Who it is for

For readers and collectors of LEGO magazines, books and merchandise who want to know what exists, what came with it and what it costs.

What you can do

  • Book editions by ISBN-13, and magazines issue by issue.

  • Add merchandise the catalogue is missing; a moderator reviews it.

How to get started

  2. Open an edition, an issue or an item to see its details and prices.
  3. Signed in, add it to your collection, or add a missing piece of merchandise.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep track of my LEGO® magazines in BrickDb?

Yes. Open the issue in the catalogue and choose "Add to collection"; each copy keeps its condition and whether its polybag or figure is still with it.

How are LEGO books listed in BrickDb?

Edition by edition, one page per ISBN-13, with the title, the publisher, the language and what came with the edition. Books that are catalogued as sets are on the catalogue's Books tab.

What happens when I add merchandise that is missing?

It is in your collection at once, marked as awaiting review. An automatic check and then a moderator look at it, and once it is approved everyone can find it in the catalogue.
