How the brick QR code works

Features

A QR code a phone can really read

Build a QR code from LEGO® bricks: type a link, your Wi-Fi or a contact, pick colours a phone can actually read, and get the parts list and step-by-step instructions.

Type what the code should say – a web address, text, a Wi-Fi network, a contact, an e-mail, a phone number or a text message – and choose the element and the plates. BrickDb refuses colour pairs a scanner cannot tell apart, and before it offers you the parts it reads the design back with its own scanner, so the code says exactly what you typed. Then you get the parts list and the instructions. What you type is not saved.

What you can do

  • Links, text, Wi-Fi, contacts, e-mail, calls and text messages.
  • Colours checked for contrast, and the design read back before you build it.
  • The parts list and step-by-step instructions, without an account.
